Please do not attach your file

This matters more here than on most sites. When you used the tool, your file stayed on your own computer — that is the entire point of how this site is built. Emailing it to us would send us the one thing we deliberately never receive, and it would sit in an inbox afterwards.

Almost every problem can be diagnosed without it. If a file really is the only way to reproduce something, we will ask, and we will say how to send it and when it will be deleted.

What makes a bug report fixable

• Which tool, by its address — for example /merge-pdf.
• What you expected, and what happened instead. "The download was empty" is more useful than "it didn't work".
• The file's type and rough size — a 40 MB scanned PDF, a 12-sheet XLSX. Memory limits are the most common cause of trouble, and size is how we spot that.
• Your browser and device. Safari on an iPhone behaves differently from Chrome on a desktop, especially around memory.
• Anything the page said. Most tools explain a refusal rather than failing silently; that message narrows it down fast.

Security

If you have found something with security implications, write to the same address with “security” in the subject line and please give us a chance to fix it before publishing. We would much rather hear it from you first.

Privacy and data questions

The privacy policy sets out what is and is not collected, including which tools are the exception and run on our server. If something there is unclear or looks wrong, that is worth an email — the page is meant to be checkable, not reassuring.
