Will it look exactly like Word?
Yes — this uses a full document layout engine, not a text extractor. Text boxes, columns, floating images, shapes, headers, footers and page numbers come out where Word puts them. The only rare difference: a commercial font that is not licensed for embedding is replaced with its closest metric match.
Is my document uploaded?
It is sent to the conversion engine over an encrypted connection, converted, and deleted the moment your PDF is made — nothing is stored, logged or shared. If the engine is ever unreachable, the tool converts in your browser instead and tells you so.
Is the text still selectable?
Yes. The PDF carries real text, so it can be selected, searched and copied — unlike tools that render each page to an image.
Can I convert an old .doc file?
Yes — the engine reads the legacy binary .doc format directly, no re-saving needed.
