Frequently asked questions
Is the text in the PDF selectable?
Yes. This writes real text into the PDF, not a picture of text, so it can be selected, searched and copied — and it stays sharp at any zoom.
Is my file uploaded?
No. The PDF is built in your browser and nothing is sent anywhere.
How does line wrapping work?
Long lines wrap at word boundaries to fit the page width you chose. A word longer than a whole line — a URL, say — is split by character so nothing runs off the edge.
Can I write Bengali, Arabic or Chinese?
Not yet — those scripts need text shaping, and the tool says so instead of silently dropping characters. Every language written in Latin (including Polish, Czech and Turkish), Cyrillic or Greek works, thanks to an embedded Unicode font.
Can I paste text instead of uploading a file?
Yes — the paste box is right there on the page and works exactly the same way.
Good to know: Scripts that need text shaping — Bengali, Arabic, Chinese, Hindi and similar — cannot be written yet, and the tool tells you rather than producing blanks; Latin, Cyrillic and Greek all work. Markdown is laid out as plain text here — use Markdown to PDF to get styled headings, lists, tables and code.
