Frequently asked questions
Is quality preserved?
Completely. PNG images are embedded byte for byte with no recompression, so screenshots stay pixel-perfect and text in them stays readable.
Are my images uploaded?
No. The document is built in your browser and nothing is sent anywhere.
What happens to transparent areas?
Transparency is kept in the PDF. Against a white page it simply looks white, which is what you normally want.
Can I put several screenshots on one page?
Not yet — each image becomes its own page. To combine several images on one page, arrange them in an image editor first.
Which other formats can I add?
JPG, WebP, GIF, BMP and AVIF all work here too, mixed freely with your PNGs.
Good to know: One image per page. Large screenshots at full resolution make large PDFs, since PNG is lossless by design — if file size matters more than perfect edges, convert them to JPG first.
