Frequently asked questions
Is my PDF uploaded to edit it?
No. The whole editor runs in your browser — the file never leaves your device, and nothing is uploaded, stored or seen by us. You could disconnect from the internet after the page loads and still finish your edits.
Can I change text that is already in the PDF?
Yes — genuinely. Choose Edit existing text, click a line, and type: the words are rewritten inside the PDF itself, keeping the document's own font, size and colour, not covered with a patch. Two honest limits apply. Text does not re-flow, so a longer sentence takes up more of the line, exactly as in desktop editors like Acrobat. And some PDFs embed cut-down fonts containing only the characters they already use; where a character is missing the editor says so instead of writing a blank. For those cases Whiteout plus Add text still works.
Can I sign a PDF here?
Yes. Choose Draw and sign with your mouse, trackpad or finger, or use Image to insert a photo of your signature. Position it where you need and save.
Are my edits permanent in the saved file?
Yes. Everything is written into the page content itself, not attached as comments — so your text, highlights and signatures appear in every PDF reader, and when printed.
Does it add a watermark?
Never. The saved PDF contains your document and your edits, nothing else.
Which languages can I type?
Any language written in Latin, Cyrillic or Greek — English, Polish, Turkish, Russian, Greek and many more — thanks to an embedded Unicode font. Scripts that need text shaping (Bengali, Arabic, Chinese and similar) cannot be written yet, and the editor tells you rather than saving them incorrectly.
Good to know: Rewritten text does not re-flow: a longer sentence occupies more of its line, the same as in desktop PDF editors, because a PDF stores fixed glyph positions rather than paragraphs. Scanned PDFs have no text to edit — convert them with OCR first. Newly typed text uses an embedded Unicode font covering Latin, Cyrillic and Greek; scripts that need shaping (Bengali, Arabic, Chinese) are reported rather than written incorrectly.
