Frequently asked questions

Is my PDF uploaded when I split it?

No. Splitting happens entirely in your browser — the file never leaves your device. There is nothing for us to store or see. Even the page previews are rendered locally.

How do I choose which pages to extract?

Every page shows as a thumbnail preview. Tap a page to select it, tap again to unselect — a checkmark shows what's picked. Select all and Clear buttons handle whole-document choices in one tap.

Can I split every page into its own PDF?

Yes — choose "Every page separately" and you get a ZIP file with one single-page PDF per page, named by page number.

Does splitting reduce quality?

No. Pages are copied exactly as they are — no recompression, no rescaling, nothing changes visually.

Can I split a password-protected PDF?

Not directly — remove the password with Unlock PDF first, then split.

Good to know: Splitting a very large PDF into hundreds of separate files builds the ZIP in memory, which can be slow on older phones. For huge documents, extracting smaller ranges is faster.
